Today earthqquake nc51125525 woke me up at 10:22:58 AM. Earthquakes are losing their novelty and becoming just scary. It apparently woke up my neighbor downstairs, too, because here comes the Sunday morning techno. I wish I could say that the cheesy techno annoyed me, but I really kind of like the background music.
Posted by Ethan at February 2, 2003 10:39 AMThis new moveable type forum looks really nice, but the page is so wide I have to slide my horizontal scroll bar back and forth to read the text. Is there any way to fix this, for suckers like me who don't have a 23" display?
Posted by: Monzy on February 2, 2003 11:26 PMoh, that's funny. Man, this moveable type crap looks different in all sorts of mac browsers. I haven't tried it on a PC yet. Man, fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. I don't know shit about html, and i'm going to have to figure out how to make it less scrolly. Don't you have like 3 monitors anyway? drag the window real wide across all of 'em.
Posted by: ethan on February 3, 2003 12:38 AMWhat kind of browser are you using, monz-man?
Posted by: ethan on February 3, 2003 12:45 AMI get the same thing as Monzy. I'm using IE 5.5 on Windows 2000.
I'm guessing you'll need to modify the stylesheet (http://www.coffeefog.com/styles-site.css). You may just have something set with a fixed width that should be relative. Windows IE 5.5 has some weird display issues with CSS, but there should be tons of sites out there on how to modify the stylesheets for MT so most browsers look okay.
I can look more closely when I'm done with work, if you'd like... Can you tell that I spend way too much time pretending to be a web designer? ;)
Posted by: fiona! on February 3, 2003 07:10 AMit seems like the "posts" section are the exact width of my IE browser, no matter how much I resize the window. As long as I start out scrolled to the right, and I ignore your left hand navbar, it looks normal.
Posted by: adam on February 3, 2003 07:37 AMit looks good on Pheonix and Win98.
no horizontal scrolling necessary.
