blogsix

It got really hard to blog all of a sudden. First my comment spamblocker got all crazy because I tried to tell it about EVERY PORNO SITE IN THE WORLD but then that was too many for its wee regular expression parsing abilities, so it just barfed every time you tried to leave a comment. So I fixed that by letting anybody leave a comment, thus opening the floodgates of annoyance. (they *love* to spam this entry)

And then my OS X blog client started crashing because my "operating system" "isn't stable." But that one's kinda my bad...

Daisie's taking orders for more Kaku the Blase Snowman t-shirts. Usual price of $10 applies for "local deliveries." I own 3, and I wear them all at the same time. If you are unfamiliar with Kaku's work, it's important to note that he's a snowman wearing a fez. I mean... whoa.

I disabled MT-Blacklist entirely, yet I have not received ANY blogspam since I changed a few things about my blog:

- changed name of mt-comments script (and all references to it)
- changed "Comment" link on blog index pages to go to the daily archive (from which you can comment) instead of going to the comment script itself

Those 2 are pretty simple and mostly explained here (#2 and 3): http://www.elise.com/mt/archives/000246concerning_spam.php

- on the daily archive page, changed the "post" button to "PoSPAMst" to further hinder spam-bots from finding it. (though, if I was a spambot I would just look for the word "SPAM" and ignore it). Pimpbot5000. I invented this one myself, and probably it does nothing.

Speaking of t-shirts. I think Monkeys Are Good People.

The $10 Kaku t-shirts are such a great deal!
